Creatures

Since 2018, I have painted a series called Unreal Birds. These vibrant and whimsical bird creatures unleash my creative energy, allowing me to paint more freely, without concern for outcome or realism. In a sense, painting birds has always been like a pianist playing scales, or a singer warming up. Whenever I need to open up, I work on a whimsical bird painting; they are my muse.

 

Over time, my love of landscapes and farms, along with painting the Unreal Birds sparked an interest in painting other farm animals such as goats and cows. These portraits are infused with colour and painted with love and humour.
